Northwest Washington Volunteer Fire Company has been a cornerstone of public safety in Salem, Indiana since 1972. What started as a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into a professional, well-equipped department serving thousands of residents across Washington County.

Our team of 100+ volunteers brings diverse skills and unwavering commitment to every call. Whether it's a midnight structure fire, a car accident on Route 56, or a community safety demonstration at the local school, we show up — because this is our community, and these are our people.
